And playing in one city is not much different from playing in another. But in general, the gameplay does not change. Yes, there are different forms of obstacles in the maps, and the restrictions on some types of objects that you can use to complete the "hard" quest are slightly different. I personally completed all of these cities on the first try and had no problems using the same logic over and over again (doing exactly the same thing as 10 before them). Is this game really fun on its own, or will you stop coming back to play a new city if it comes in without achievements? So the point is, last 2 years, the vast 90% of players don't care about updates.Īnd for those who care, as you, I have a question for you. 2.5%ĭeliver 500 passengers in Tashkent. 9.5%ĭeliver 500 passengers in Addis Ababa. 5.3%ĭeliver 400 passengers in Budapest. You all know, you get these even if you are completely new to this game and don't know how to play at all:ĭeliver 500 passengers in Chongqing. How many players played them? Apart from the completionists here. But the other 5 have been in the game for a long time.įrom 4 month to 2 years, it is enough to be indicative IMO. Let's look at the last 6 cities added in 20 - but ok, exclude the last, as it's only been here for 2 days. Same as me with my wish to have 100% stats for a game that I once liked. I know that if you are following this forum, chances are you're doing it because you love this game. It requires so little storage space that I just keep it installed. So, them adding a city + two achievements every now and then is actually a nice occasion for me to come back to the game for one afternoon. I personally still enjoy the game, but not enough to keep playing it daily. Breaking the consistency and suddenly not having achievements for some cities would probably annoy me more. It's not like our well-earned 100% are locked behind another 20-hour time investment.ģ. The Mini Metro achievements are super easy to get. So you're practically required to pay 15-20 bucks every couple of months if it's important to you to get those 100% back that you've already invested so much time and money in. There are games on Steam ( Cities Skylines being one example I can think of) that keep releasing DLCs which also come wth achievements. Now with that being said, my 2 cents for your consideration:ġ. I'm a completionist too, and losing the 100% on a game every few months is a little bit of an annoyance. If so, thanks for considering one humble opinion. As for me, I want my perfect game to stay still and keep my initial good impression of it (without this annoyance). What's the point? Those who like to go back for every new level, will go back anyway. And since Feb, 2020 this grows to ANNOYING with capital letters.Īdd cities if you still willing to do so. Please, stop forcing me come back to it with every update, it's getting more and more annoying. I just wanted to complete it 100%, so I did. To be honest, this game stopped being interesting for me about 20 playhours ago. I'm not interested to download this game every half a year just to play for half an hour (to fix my broken 100% stats). Nothing interesting has been added with the last several cities either. So it is no longer a challenge, but a routine. Thanks and kudos!īut look, after some time I have already learned how to achieve any required score. Especially, this is respectful and cool for an old game like this one. Don't get me wrong, adding new content is great.
